... florals

Florals are still in for this spring and summer.  And Zara's dress collection sure doesn't disappoint when it comes to pretty little floral frocks and gorgeous long floral dresses.

Here are a few of my favorite floral dresses from Zara's.

... the next big collaboration

I was quite excited to find out yesterday's news that the next big collaboration for Target was coming up.  What made me more excited was to hear that the collaboration would be by 3.1 Phillip Lim.

My favorite items from any of his collections are his handbags.  Right now, my current Phillip Lim love is his Pashli bag.

Here's a sneak peek of some items from the soon to be collection that's coming out later this year in September.

The one item that I have my eye on is the yellow handbag, which is sure to be a hit with all women since it mirrors his most popular bags & will retail at an affordable price of $35.  I already forewarned my husband that I'm going to purchase this beauty when it comes out.  I also have the date marked in my Google calendar too. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the lookbook in the upcoming months. For now, here's a short video talking about the upcoming collection.

... welcome to the dollhouse

This past Monday, Grand Central Terminal opened its doors and welcomed all those who pass through to its life size version of a dollhouse.  This dollhouse had pieces from Target's Threshold Collection.

The collection is huge and I can't pinpoint one or even a handful of items that I like, but I just love the overall look.  You can shop the collection here.

... dvf x gap kids

I'm all late to the party, and didn't know about the new Diane Von Furstenburg x Gap Kids collection until a few weeks ago.  As most of you know, the newest collection debuted in Gap Kids storefronts in April 2013.  Much like it's predecessor, this collection was sure to be a hit with it's beautiful bright colors, gorgeous patterns, and classic DVF pieces (aka her wonderful wrap dresses).

Last year, I was able to purchase the above beautiful orange wrap dress for my eldest daughter. She looked adorably cute in it.  My youngest is now inheriting this piece.

Now that she's inheriting that piece, I wanted to buy my big girl a new dress.  It was hard to select just one piece that she could have because they're all beautiful.  I ended up buying her this cute blue romper.

But I couldn't stop there.  I wanted to get something for myself because who can resist not owning a piece from this collection.  I wanted to get a wrap dress, but didn't think it would look quite right on me.  Although I'm 2.5 months postpartum, I was able to squeeze myself into a Girls size 16, and purchased myself a pair of these cute blue & white shorts from the DVF collection.  Super cute.

Here are a couple of other pieces that I thought were really cute. I couldn't quite justify buying more than two pieces because I'll admit it's pretty pricey, but definitely worth buying at least 1 or 2 pieces.

These pieces can be purchased here, here, & here.

For those that know me or have been following me here on Blogspot, know that I love anything super shiny and sparkly.

Rachel Zoe's Fall 2013 collection is nothing short of amazing, and these are my favorite shiny pieces from her collection.

... downton abbey

While on maternity leave, I decided to finally catch up on some shows I've been meaning to watch & one of them was PBS's big hit series, Downton Abbey.  Not only has it become one of my new (tv) guilty pleasures, I became utterly obsessed with the outfits that Mary, Edith, & Sybil wore.  Anyone else out there love what they wore?

I don't recognize the outfits from the below picture, but the Crawley sisters look utterly amazing.
